Why Yoga?

In 2006, my yoga journey began in Hong Kong, but it wasn’t an instant connection. At the time, I was more drawn to intense activities like skiing, tennis, surfing, and swimming. The slower pace of yoga felt too calm for me, and I didn’t enjoy it as much. However, this was just the beginning.

When I returned to Paris in 2009, I explored other yoga styles and tried Bikram Yoga for a few sessions. It wasn’t quite the right fit, but it opened the door for me to discover Iyengar Yoga. The precise focus on alignment and the 90-minute sessions allowed me to quiet my mind and find a balance that extended beyond just physical practice. This commitment to Iyengar Yoga became my foundation.

As my practice deepened, I discovered Yin Yoga around 2016. Its meditative nature and focus on stillness offered something new—a way to slow down and connect with the deeper aspects of myself. In 2020, I took the step of completing my Yin Yoga Teacher Training, which profoundly enriched my practice and ignited a passion for teaching.

Blending Yoga Synergy, Yin, and Iyengar

 

In 2024, my journey evolved once again as I became certified in Yoga Synergy (200 YTTC), a dynamic and fluid approach developed by Simon Borg-Olivier. This style blends traditional Hatha yoga with exercise-based physiotherapy, designed specifically for the modern body. The movements feel like a dance, energizing and strengthening the body while promoting flexibility and balance.

Today, I integrate Yoga Synergy, Yin Yoga, and Iyengar Yoga into a unique teaching style that offers the meditative stillness of Yin, the precision of Iyengar, and the flow of Yoga Synergy. This holistic approach nurtures both mind and body, making it accessible to all levels of experience and fitness.
